What If I Choose the Wrong Path?

What If I Choose the Wrong Path?
I think we all have this fear.
Not only when we're young.
Even now.
Sometimes life feels like standing in front of a bunch of revolving doors.
This one?
That one?
What happens if I walk through this one and realize I should've picked the other?
And when you're young there are so many of these decisions coming at you at once.
College or no college?
Which career?
Which job?
Move out or stay home?
Follow something you love or choose something more stable?
It's a lot.
But I don't think it really stops.
The questions just change.
I've made decisions in my own life that worked out really well.
I've made others that I questioned later.
And I've changed direction. More than once.
I wish I could say that with age you suddenly know exactly what you're doing.
I don't think that's true.
At least not for me.
Sometimes you make a decision with the information you have at the time, and then life happens.
You learn something.
You change.
The situation changes.
And maybe the path that made sense before doesn't anymore.
I think what scares us is the idea that one decision is going to determine everything that happens after it.
Some decisions are big, of course.
But I also wonder how much time we lose just standing there because we're afraid of picking the wrong door.
I don't really have a perfect answer for this one.
Maybe there isn't one.
Do you think making decisions gets easier as you get older?
